Elijah’s Story
We buried Elijah on our hazelnut farm in September 2017. He passed away from a rare heart condition.
Elijah was the youngest of our four children. He helped on our family farm during the hazelnut harvest and enjoyed spending time at our Eastern Oregon ranch living the cowboy life.
Elijah loved everything that encompassed basketball. He was a point guard, a huge Portland Trailblazers fan, and he anticipated March madness and “One Shining Moment” each year.
His dimpled smile and quiet demeanor impacted all those he came in contact with. He was thankful, honest, gracious, and patient. His courage during his battle astounded not only his family but his caregivers as well.
Our family is forever grateful for the sixteen years we had laughing, praying, crying, and simply living life with him.
